Pok Brothers Group was acquired from the Pok family in February 2006. Pok Brothers started as a general store business in the heart of Petaling Jaya, near the nation’s capital of Kuala Lumpur in 1963. From this humble beginning, the company has transformed itself into one of the leading frozen food companies in Malaysia. A wholly family-owned business then, it has weathered the economic throes of the country and is taking on the new millennium with rejuvenated vigor.
As a premium food wholesaler, the core business of the Company, it has served and will continue to serve the country’s food industry. Pok Brothers operate from a facility with built-up area of 44,986 sq ft in Hicom-Glenmarie Industrial Park, Shah Alam, Selangor, being its headquarters (HQ) with 3 branches and 1 subsidiary distribution centers located in Penang, Langkawi, Pahang and Johor. All locations have cold room facilities with the largest being the HQ. Its current workforce stands approximately at 220 headcount.
Pok Brothers import and distribute food products, both in raw and processed form, servicing the hospitality industry in particular. Other industries being serviced by the Company are airlines, cruise ships, hyper and supermarkets, bakeries, butcheries, fast-food chains, grocery stores, food processors and other wholesalers. Another function the company has undertaken is that of an appointed importer and distributor of goods on behalf of several internationally well-known restaurant chains based in Malaysia.
Pok Brothers is customer oriented and focused. This has become the hallmark of the Company in meeting the needs of its customers. For this reason, Pok Brothers represents many products, both local and overseas.
Most of Pok Brother’s supplies are sourced internationally, in particular from the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. It imports turkey, French fries and other related potato products, vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices, fresh fruit juices, assorted cheeses and other canned products and condiments from the US. From Europe, Pok Brothers imports dairy whipping cream, assorted cheese, seafood, pasta and various condiments, whereas, it imports chilled and frozen beef, lamb, venison, canned fruits, seafood and dairy products such as cheese, cream and ultra-heat treated milk from Australia/New Zealand.
In Malaysia, Pok Brothers is also a pioneer in supplying locally grown hydroponic vegetables like frisee, romaine, lollorosa and butter lettuce, and herbs like basil, thyme and rosemary which were previously only available as imports.
Another subsidiary of Pok Brothers, De-Luxe Food Services manufactures value added products like assortments of beef, chicken and turkey cold-cuts and sausages, breakfast beef, smoked salmon and trout. In this subsidiary, there is also a bakery manufacturing baguettes, croissants, dinner rolls and verities of other pastries to compliment the lines of fresh products available for customers.
De-Luxe Food Services, which currently operates in HICOM-Glenmarie Industrial Park, Shah Alam, Selangor, will be relocating its bakery facilities to a new plant in Meru, Klang, measuring approximately 30,000 sq ft. For more information on this business, please refer to following website address

Pok Brothers Consumer (PBC) is a new sub-division created in May 2007 following the successful acquisition of the FMCG consumer business of QL Distribution Sdn Bhd by Pok Brothers Sdn Bhd.
PBC continues with the distribution and marketing of third-party and own brand F&B products into the modern retail and general trade sectors using its own sales team throughout West Malaysia, and using Distributors’ sales team in Sabah & Sarawak.

Frozen Food Division has allowed Etika Group to penetrate into the upper segment of the consumer food market particularly the HORECA channel. This completes Etika Group’s distribution network in Malaysia.
